Remember the Milk

A site to remind you of things. You make lists of things you don't want to forget, and it notifies you of them via email, SMS, and IMs. Also it can even show you where your tasks are located in real life and time, and lets you publish them too. Although I can see why it'd be helpful if other people got to view your errands, to avoid confusion, but it seems like your trusting people a bit to much with that.

Del.icio.us

This ones actually pretty cool. you can pretty much collect links to all the stuff you like from all over the internet. It has a social-media site feel to it, because you can brows links other people have liked and shared, as well as connect with people who like the same stuff as you via your links.  Additionally it could prove helpful for keeping track of all the random sites and information you find on a web. ever found a site, left it, then completely forget what it was/how to get to it? problem solved.

App vs. Site

This post is being written on the blogger app. The assignment being to write a comparison of the two. I'm leaning towards the website, mostly because I can't edit the blog here like I can on the website, or view stats or even the blogs I'm following.

But it's a good tool for making and managing posts it seems, since this is my first post on it this is pure speculation.

They each have their perks. I would rather make posts here, and do absolutely everything else on the website.

Symbaloo

Today we explored a website called Symbaloo, and now are to examine it. This is a screenshot of my Symbaloo. Its pretty empty. it only contains a few webcomics i'm following.

On to the actual analysis. The whole site's pretty much a bookmarks bar, but its a website. You can make any website into a tile. It seems like a good idea. i;m not sure if its more convenient since bookmarks are in that little bar at the top of the screen and are pretty much instantly accessible, and this is a website you have to go to, but hey, you could always just bookmark it! instead of making folders for different categories you make sharable "web mixes". Which is kind of neat.

I dont think its more convenient, but its a good idea and i'll definitely be using it to manage my websites.

2. Random Images: especially if the images apply to what your blog is about.

3: Random Quote generators: Can be good for emphasizing upon whatever it is your talking about

4:Statistic Generators: if you have a math blog, or technical blog, or something like that

5: The temperature converter: Perhaps you mention the temperature or something, or start discussing weather, a lot of the world (Everyone else, right?) uses Celsius and Metric, so it could be considered helpful to those curious or foreign audience

I'm still not sure about what i'm going to do with this, i could publish stories, or make it into a Sims 3 legacy blog, or just talk about myself but who wants to read that.

This has been my brief (Not quite) first post.
